Backup & Data Retention Policy

Effective Date: 21 August 2026 • Last Updated: 21 August 2026

Automated Daily Backups for Shared Hosting ZENOR BD performs daily automated snapshots with approximately 7 days of restore history for eligible shared & reseller hosting packages. Customers remain primarily responsible for keeping offsite backups.

1 Hosting Backup Schedule & 7-Day History

For eligible web hosting packages (Shared, Premium, Newspaper, eCommerce, Corporate, BDIX, and Reseller plans), ZENOR BD runs daily automated backup routines retaining approximately seven (7) days of rolling snapshot history.

Clients can access self-service restore points or request account restorations directly through the cPanel / JetBackup interface.

2 Account Suspension & Data Deletion Timeline

Post-Suspension Retention

Following account suspension for non-payment, ZENOR BD retains the cPanel account and data for up to sixty (60) days before final purging, subject to server capacity and operational conditions.

Post-Termination Deletion

Once an account is formally terminated, live data is removed within 7 to 14 days, and related backup archives are cycled out. Once permanently purged, data cannot be recovered.

3 Non-Hosting Services Exclusion

Automated backup snapshots are not provided for the following self-managed and unmanaged infrastructure products:

Unmanaged VPS & Managed VPS Dedicated Servers & Colocation Windows RDP n8n Instances & SMTP Nodes Google Workspace & OpenXchange

VPS and Dedicated server administrators are responsible for configuring their own backup scripts, snapshots, or separate Backup Disk storage.

4 Customer Primary Responsibility & Disclaimer

Automated snapshots are an operational safeguard and not an infallible disaster recovery guarantee. Hardware crashes, filesystem corruption, or script issues can occasionally compromise automated archives. Clients must keep independent, off-server backups of all mission-critical websites and databases.
